Himachal woman Geeta Verma is a health worker, who travels remote areas of Seraj Valley in Mandi district for 100% coverage of rubella and measles immunization program.

She travels on a two-wheeler or on foot to remote villages to supply vaccines to the children wherever the vaccine camp is conducted. Her toughest task was to deliver the vaccines to the children of Gurjar and Shepherd community in not so traveled area of Raygarh.  The uncomfortable hilly roads are no hurdle for Geeta; she further set up a temporary camp and devotedly delivered the vaccines.

Geeta Verma added one more feather to her cap; she has acquired a place in World Health Organization calendar 2018. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur appreciated and felicitated the commitment towards her job and also mentioned, her global recognition in WHO calendar 2018 is a proud moment for the state.
