Emergency in the Maldives former President arrested Army storms into the Supreme Court and also arrest two judges.
Abdulla Yameen: President of the Maldives ordered for the arrest of the former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and also called a state of emergency. President Abdulla Yameen is in the battle with the South Asian island nations Supreme Court after the judges passed the order to release all imprisoned politicians from the opposition party. National Defence Force stormed into the Supreme Court and arrested Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Judge Ali Hameed. The forces also arrested Hassan Saeed Husain- The chief judicial administrator.
The police force and the soldiers had set barricades and sealed off the streets to the Supreme court building, According to the people the police also used pepper spray on the protestors outside the court.

The prevailing political developments in the Maldives and the resultant law and order situation is a matter of concern for the Government of India. Indian nationals are, therefore, advised to defer all non-essential travels to Male and other atolls until further notice. Indian expatriates in the Maldives are also alerted to the need for heightened security awareness and urged to exercise due caution in public and avoid public gatherings.
